'I Am SOLO' Episode Sparks Jealousy and Tears Among Contestants

On the episode aired on the 22nd, SBS Plus and ENA's reality show 'I Am SOLO' featured the second round of date selections, which took an unexpected turn, shaking up the romantic dynamics among the 31st group of contestants.

Roommates Young-soo and Young-sik started their day with a morning run. Jeong-sook joined them after encountering Young-sik in the common living room. Before heading out, Young-soo expressed his interest in Soon-ja by offering her a hangover cure while she was cooking in the kitchen. After the run, Young-sik and Jeong-sook continued their conversation, bonding over shared interests in fitness and lifestyle values.

Meanwhile, unaware of the run, Jeong-hee was surprised to learn about Young-sik and Jeong-sook's morning activity after getting ready. In an interview with the production team, Jeong-hee expressed her disappointment, wondering if she wasn't fulfilling Young-sik's expectations. Later, during a conversation with Jeong-sook, Jeong-hee asked about her feelings towards Young-sik. When Jeong-sook admitted she was interested, Jeong-hee couldn't hold back her emotions and confided in Ok-soon, saying she wanted to go home while shedding tears.

Upon seeing Young-sik in the common area, Jeong-hee sarcastically remarked, "Must be nice to have an appetite." Sensing the tension, Young-sik took Jeong-hee aside for a talk. Jeong-hee admitted, "I cried earlier this morning," confessing her jealousy over Young-sik and Jeong-sook. She revealed that the situation of having to interact with others was challenging for her. Young-sik apologized for causing emotional turmoil, but in a separate interview, he expressed his inner conflict about whether to focus on one person, indicating Jeong-hee's tears had left him unsettled.

The episode also featured the second date selection. In this round, Young-sook hoped for Kyung-soo, but was surprised when Kwang-soo chose her, stating he wanted to give it one more try despite her previous rejection. Soon-ja was chosen by both Kyung-soo and Young-soo, leading to a 2:1 date. Young-ja expected Young-soo but was left bewildered when Young-chul approached her, feeling "like a fool." Ok-soon secured a stable 1:1 date with Young-ho, while Jeong-hee was chosen by both Young-sik and Sang-chul, creating another 2:1 scenario. Jeong-sook, however, was left without a choice, confirming her solitary meal.

During Team Soon-ja's date, Kyung-soo and Soon-ja's chemistry left Young-soo feeling sidelined. Observing Soon-ja's attention towards Kyung-soo, Young-soo concluded in an interview that her heart was already set. In a subsequent 1:1 conversation, Young-soo attempted to sort out his feelings, while Soon-ja declined his interest, stating she didn't want to waste a good person's time.

Conversely, in a 1:1 conversation with Kyung-soo, Soon-ja firmly stated, "I currently have one person of interest." Kyung-soo acknowledged Soon-ja as his top choice but admitted he still wanted to explore other connections, mentioning Young-sook, which unsettled Soon-ja. The preview for the next episode teased emotional moments with Young-sook and Kwang-soo shedding tears during their date, and a confrontation between Soon-ja and Young-sook over Kyung-soo, heightening anticipation for the upcoming broadcast.
