Ahn Hyo-seop and Chae Won-bin Clash in a Thrilling Encounter on 'Today We Sold Out Again'
On the first episode of SBS's Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Today We Sold Out Again,' which aired on the 22nd, the tangled first meeting between Matthew Lee (played by Ahn Hyo-seop) and Dam Ye-jin (played by Chae Won-bin) set the stage for a bickering romance. The episode recorded a peak viewership rating of 4.5%, with a national average of 3.3% and a metropolitan area average of 3.7%, according to Nielsen Korea.
'Today We Sold Out Again' kicked off with the bustling live broadcast scene of a home shopping network, leading into the hectic lives of rural man Matthew Lee and city woman Dam Ye-jin. Matthew Lee was shown having a busy day resolving complaints from the elderly in his neighborhood, managing a mushroom farm, running a company, and still finding time for exercise and reading, impressing viewers with his disciplined lifestyle.
Director Dong Hyun-ki (played by Shin Dong-mi) further challenged Dam Ye-jin by assigning her the task of securing the entry of the global skincare brand Letoile to regain her prime time slot, a daunting mission given her past trauma with beauty products.
Determined not to give up her prime time, Dam Ye-jin boldly arranged a meeting with Letoile's executive director, Seo Eric (played by Kim Bum), who responded positively to her proposal, provided they could also resolve a contract renewal for the supply of key cosmetic ingredients. This led Dam Ye-jin to Deokpung Village, home to the white flower mushroom farm, to gain an advantage in the negotiations.
Meanwhile, Matthew Lee, the owner of the white flower mushroom farm, was driving his tractor when he encountered an unusual sight—a red sports car blocking the only road out of the village.
'Today We Sold Out Again' captivated audiences with the intense first meeting between Matthew Lee and Dam Ye-jin, each intruding into the other's world. The fast-paced depiction of their daily routines left viewers intrigued about the stories of these two individuals living as if 24 hours were 48.
