Explosive Twists Await in Final Episodes of 'Dr. Shin'

With only four episodes left until the finale, TV CHOSUN's 'Dr. Shin', penned by writer Im Sung-han, is set to deliver 'nuclear-level twists'. The show, which hit a low rating of 0.9% in its fifth episode last month, has since rebounded slightly, maintaining a 1% viewership.

'Dr. Shin' captivates audiences with its unprecedented 'brain change' theme, combining writer Phoebe's signature unpredictable plot twists with an explosive four-way romance.

The 12th episode, aired on the 19th, achieved a peak rating of 2% according to Nielsen Korea, marking a new high for the series. It also secured a spot in the TOP 7 of Good Data Corporation's FUNdex for TV dramas in the second week of April, showcasing its overwhelming buzz.

Shin Joo-shin (played by Jung Yi-chan) saved Geum Bara (played by Joo Se-bin) from a panic attack after a night together with Ha Yong-jung (played by Ahn Woo-yeon), who couldn't accept her. Shin Joo-shin took care of Geum Bara at his home, and she gradually warmed up to him. When Geum Bara, who had given up on her life goal of being with Ha Yong-jung, broke down, Shin Joo-shin offered his love, saying, "Think of me as a substitute. I'll be your chicken." Geum Bara eventually accepted his proposal after hearing about Ha Yong-jung's marriage. Momo, with Kim Jin-joo's brain, is a ticking time bomb of destructive power. Though she appears as top star Momo, inside, Kim Jin-joo unleashes her pent-up desires and emotions. Her jealousy towards Geum Bara, a childhood friend, led her to boldly seduce Ha Yong-jung. She was enraged to learn that Shin Joo-shin proposed to Geum Bara after their engagement was called off. Tension rises as Kim Jin-joo plans to reveal the truth about the 'brain change surgery' to Ha Yong-jung and Geum Bara.

Paul Kim (played by Ji Young-san) and Kim Kwang-chul (played by Cha Kwang-soo) are on a tense quest to find their biological daughter. Paul Kim shows paternal affection towards Momo, the other daughter of Hyun Ran-hee (played by Song Ji-in), while Kim Kwang-chul is convinced of Kim Jin-joo's survival, despite others claiming she's dead. He suspects Momo of hiding Kim Jin-joo and is determined to find her at Shin Joo-shin's hospital. The intrigue deepens as viewers wonder if Paul Kim and Kim Kwang-chul will find their true daughter.

The production team promises that the remaining four episodes will see the four-way romance reach its peak, with writer Phoebe's unique storytelling creating a new genre. 'Dr. Shin' is a medical thriller about a genius doctor challenging the divine realm and a woman losing her soul after a brain injury.
