Tension Rises as 'Legend of the Unknown' Reveals Final 14 Contestants Heading to Semifinals
MBN's grand trot audition show 'Legend of the Unknown - The Battle of Trot Men' (hereafter 'Legend of the Unknown') is set to reveal the final lineup of 14 contestants heading to the semifinals, promising intense competition. The battle for fame among the contestants is expected to become fiercer.

The 9th episode of 'Legend of the Unknown', airing on the 22nd, will feature the second round of the 'National Song Battle'. Following the first round's 'Team Medley Battle', the remaining performances will be unveiled, leading into the second round's 'Top Ace Battle', where each team's ace will compete, raising the stakes. The team that secures the highest combined score from both rounds will advance directly to the semifinals, while the others will face elimination.

The last performance of the ongoing 'Team Medley Battle' will be led by Kwak Young-kwang's 'Glory of the Unknown' team. Composed entirely of unknown artists, including leader Kwak Young-kwang, Han Garak, Ji Young-il, and Marcus Kang, they will perform a medley of Jeon Young-rok's songs. Han Garak, who had been struggling due to his wife's opposition, is now fully charged with support from his mother-in-law, adding to the anticipation for the final stage of the first round.

Following the announcement of the combined scores from the first round's top professional and national professional teams, the second round 'Top Ace Battle' will commence, determining the fate of the contestants. With the scores being closely contested, a single mistake in the 'Top Ace Battle' could lead to a team's elimination, creating a tense atmosphere.

First up is Jeong Yeon-ho, the youngest and leader of the Yeon-ho's Jinppongmyeongpum team, representing his team on stage. Performing with the mindset of it being his last stage, Jeong Yeon-ho, a traditional strong contender, will present Imija's 'Old People', written and composed by Choi Baek-ho. His deep traditional trot emotion reportedly left the audience in awe.

Kim Tae-woong, the 'young breadwinner' who has consistently led his team to the top ranks, will also take the stage for a comeback. Despite the heavy burden of carrying his team's survival at the age of 11, Kim Tae-woong's performance, which left Jang Yoon-jung in awe, will be revealed in the broadcast.

The 'Romantic Jiwoo' team, which received high praise from national singer Choi Baek-ho in the first round, faces an unexpected change with the ace being replaced. Jang Han-byeol steps in for leader Yoo Ji-woo, aiming for a dramatic comeback with 'Buried Pain'.

'Ttechang Republic's ace Lee Chang-min also couldn't hide his nerves, comparing it to his debut day with 2AM. To make up for two mistakes in the first round, he will perform Jeon Young-rok's challenging song 'On a White Night', aiming for a comeback.

Haru, the leader of the 'All Day Long' team, which gained attention in the third round of the 'National Song Battle', will bring out a 'cheat key', a grand piano, to secure a spot in the semifinals. Having won the first round 'Team Battle' but lost the second round 'Top Leader Battle', Haru's performance, praised by Jang Yoon-jung, will be unveiled.

Lastly, ace Kwak Young-kwang, supported by his team, will take the stage. Determined to win for his team of unknowns, he promises to give his all. The focus is on which ace will smile last and who the final 14 semifinalists will be.

The final lineup of 14 contestants heading to the semifinals, carrying the dream of escaping obscurity, will be revealed in the 9th episode of 'Legend of the Unknown', airing at 9:40 PM on the 22nd on MBN.
