Actress Go Ah-sung is set to make a special appearance in the Korean adaptation of 'The Miracles of the Namiya General Store'.

According to a report by TenAsia on the 222nd day, Ryu Seung-ryong will star in the Korean drama adaptation of one of Japanese author Keigo Higashino's most famous works, 'The Miracles of the Namiya General Store'. The story revolves around three thieves who hide in a general store that connects the past and present, responding to advice-seeking letters and uncovering miraculous secrets intertwined with their lives. The original novel topped the sales charts for Japanese novels in Korea from 2007 to 2016.

The Korean adaptation has already garnered attention with the casting announcements of Lee Chae-min, Moon Sang-min, Kim Hye-yoon, Yum Jung-ah, Park Se-wan, and Ryu Seung-ryong. The addition of Go Ah-sung to the cast has further heightened anticipation.

Go Ah-sung recently caught attention for her romantic chemistry with Moon Sang-min in the Netflix film 'Pavane', released in February. 'Pavane', a project that took nearly a decade to bring to life, was praised for showcasing Go Ah-sung's solid acting skills and Moon Sang-min's fresh appeal. The two actors are set to reunite in 'The Miracles of the Namiya General Store', although it remains undisclosed if they will appear in the same episode. A broadcast representative stated, "Go Ah-sung and Moon Sang-min will both appear in this project following 'Pavane'. Please check after the release to see if they share an episode."

After recovering from an injury in September 2023, which led to her departure from 'Chunhwa Love Story', Go Ah-sung has resumed her active entertainment career. She continues to participate in various projects, including the play 'Uncle Vanya', which she is confirmed to star in. Recently, she appeared on KBS1's 'Morning Yard' to promote her work and showcased her chemistry with actor Lee Seo-jin.

Go Ah-sung's performance in 'Uncle Vanya' will open on the 7th of next month at the LG SIGNATURE Hall in LG Arts Center Seoul. Her continuous work in the industry keeps audiences intrigued about her future endeavors.
