Comedian Kim Young-hee Shares Marriage Insights and Hilarious Quarrel with Younger Husband Yoon Seung-yeol

Comedian Kim Young-hee recently shared a humorous anecdote about a quarrel with her husband, Yoon Seung-yeol, who is ten years her junior.

On the October 20th episode of KBS2's 'Malja Show,' which featured a special on couples, various marital dilemmas were discussed. One question posed was, "Should marriage be with someone exciting and fun or someone comfortable and stable?"

Kim Young-hee candidly shared, "I'm not in a position to talk about others. I had a bit of a spat with my husband before coming here today." She explained, "We debated whether to come separately or together after the argument, but we reconciled dramatically and decided to come together." She humorously added, "I think all married life is similar. Sometimes I wonder what sin I committed in a past life to meet this person."

Kim also revealed why she decided to marry Yoon Seung-yeol. "My husband has a very stable personality, which made me decide to marry him," she said, noting that they met frequently through mutual friends. Kim recalled, "I hadn't dated for nearly 11 years, so I didn't know how to receive compliments or give love. My husband would always compliment me, saying, 'Why are you so pretty?' But I thought he was mocking me." She continued, "He kept complimenting me like watering a flower, and one day, my heart opened."

Yoon Seung-yeol shared his perspective, "At that time, my wife was genuinely a dark person. I thought she was someone who had been hurt, and I wanted to heal her."

Kim Young-hee admitted, "I was someone who had nothing going for me. But my husband kept telling me, 'It's okay, it happens,' which helped me heal and brighten up."

The light-hearted atmosphere took a turn when the possibility of divorce was mentioned. Lawyer Park Min-cheol, after examining their facial features, commented, "I see a slight possibility of divorce." Yoon Seung-yeol responded, "I don't think that will happen, but I want to listen to other couples' stories today, learn, and wrap things up well." Kim humorously retorted, "What he's saying is strange. He's implying that if he hears other couples' stories and thinks I'm too much, he'll consider divorce. I can't control my emotions today."

In the end, Yoon Seung-yeol praised Kim Young-hee, saying she is "someone deserving of love," adding warmth to the conversation. Kim expressed her affection for her husband, saying, "He came into my life like a ray of light when I had nothing to lose. He saved me."
