Lee Sang-min Showcases His Producing Prowess in '232 Project'

Singer and TV personality Lee Sang-min has demonstrated his producing skills.

On October 15, Lee Sang-min appeared on the YouTube channel '232 Project' for the first practice recording of its first member, Yoon Soo-min. '232 Project' is a reality show focused on nurturing idols, marking Lee's comeback as a producer after clearing a debt of 6.9 billion won.

During the recording session, Lee showcased his sharp producer instincts. He explained that the key to the practice recording of the debut song 'GENIUS' was finding the part that best suited Yoon Soo-min. Lee stated, "My role is to discover the unique characteristics of each member," as he continued with meticulous and detailed directing.

Lee offered detailed advice, demonstrating how to emphasize the rhyme, pronunciation, and rhythm of the lyrics. Yoon Soo-min, initially shy at Lee's compliment of having perfect pitch, captivated attention by fully immersing himself in the song once recording began.

Lee also praised Yoon Soo-min's potential for growth. He emphasized that this process is not just about evaluation but also about the artist listening to and refining their voice. "As a producer, I have to consider whether to focus more on rap or vocals," he said, underscoring the project's authenticity.

Lee further introduced the debut song 'GENIUS', describing it as a high-energy track that expresses self-assurance and boldness. He highlighted that the song portrays the artist as someone with a unique sense and mindset, different from others. Lee expressed strong confidence in the song, stating it would showcase intense performances, style, and a solid character, raising expectations.
