Actor Seo Hyun-chul Shares Unique Living Arrangement with Three Generations Under One Roof

Actor Seo Hyun-chul (60) has revealed that he is living with three generations and his mother-in-law under one roof.

On the October 15th episode of MBC's variety show 'Radio Star,' Seo Hyun-chul appeared alongside broadcaster Jang Dong-min, musical actor and singer Cha Ji-yeon, and beatboxer WING in a special titled 'Oh My GOD.'

During the show, Seo Hyun-chul shared, "I live with my wife, daughter, father, and mother-in-law. After my father-in-law passed away, my mother-in-law was left alone. She often took care of our daughter, so it naturally led to us living together. My father was already living with us."

He also confessed to the awkwardness of their living situation. "Our house was small, and we only had one TV. Everyone would politely insist, 'You watch your drama,' 'No, you watch your Go game.' In the end, no one watched TV. So, we moved to a bigger place and got TVs for both my mother-in-law's and father's rooms," he explained.

Seo continued, "Initially, when my wife and I went to work, the three of them had to eat together. My mother-in-law would feed my daughter, and my daughter would insist, 'Feed grandma and grandpa too.' Even if my father refused, my daughter would persist, saying, 'Hurry, feed them.' It was awkward at first, but now that my daughter is older, it's fine."

Seo Hyun-chul married actress Jung Jae-eun in 2009, and they have one daughter. Both married in their 40s and welcomed their daughter in 2010.
