Yoo Soo-bin Shines as Loyal Aide in '21st Century Grand Prince's Wife'
Yoo Soo-bin made his debut on October 10th in MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama '21st Century Grand Prince's Wife', playing the role of Choi Hyun, the aide to Grand Prince Ian, bonded by a friendship deeper than blood.
The episode showcased the intriguing relationship between Grand Prince Ian (played by Byun Woo-seok) and his aide Choi Hyun (played by Yoo Soo-bin). Concerned that his casual demeanor might undermine the prince's dignity, Choi Hyun maintained a formal tone and avoided eye contact within the palace. However, outside the palace or when alone, he would click his tongue, scold, and raise his voice.
Choi Hyun's pout and mimicry of the prince's words, when the prince did not justify himself, indicated that their relationship was more than just a formal one.
Choi Hyun, usually gentle, showed a different side by being wary of Castle Beauty CEO Sung Hee-joo (played by IU). He suspected her of being a spy for Yoon Yi-rang (played by Gong Seung-yeon) after she suddenly proposed marriage to Grand Prince Ian, leading him to secretly investigate her.
Yoo Soo-bin vividly portrays Choi Hyun, a loyal aide who steadfastly supports the isolated prince and genuinely cares for him as a friend. Anticipation builds for his future performances.
'21st Century Grand Prince's Wife' airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 PM.
