Red Velvet's Irene Shines on 'Talk Pawon 25 Hours' with Solo Album Comeback

Singer Lee Chan-won recently drew attention by commenting on the beauty of Red Velvet's Irene, who hails from the same city, Daegu.

On the October 13th episode of JTBC's 'Talk Pawon 25 Hours,' Red Velvet's Irene made an appearance to promote her solo album.

During the show, guest Irene was praised for her stunning looks, with Kim Sook exclaiming, "She shines." Lee Chan-won expressed his delight, noting that Irene is from Daegu, just like him.

When asked about her origins, Irene mentioned she is from Chilgok, near Daegu. Lee Chan-won praised her beauty, saying, "I heard from Daegu seniors that Irene was really famous in Chilgok," drawing attention.

Irene, who has been mostly appearing on YouTube lately, admitted feeling shy about being back in a broadcast studio. Yang Se-chan mentioned that someone sent a message of support to ease her nerves, revealing a video.

The video featured Jeon Hyun-moo filming Wendy. Jeon Hyun-moo recounted meeting Wendy at the Tokyo Dome during a WBC game, where Wendy asked if Irene would be appearing on 'Talk Pawon 25 Hours,' leading to their connection. Watching the video, Lee Chan-won humorously questioned, "Why does it look like a split-screen broadcast when they're together?" Jeon Hyun-moo replied, "If I film, my face doesn't appear," adding, "I filmed it on the condition that my face would be included," eliciting laughter.

Wendy shared, "Irene has become brighter and laughs more these days," catching attention. Yang Se-chan mentioned that Irene is known for her infectious laughter. When asked why she finds him funny, Irene replied, "The way you speak is amusing," causing laughter. Yang Se-chan recalled a past YouTube shoot where Irene laughed at his mouth, joking, "I should send her a mold of my mouth." Meanwhile, Irene announced the release of her first solo full-length album in 12 years, stating, "I wanted to say that my biggest fan is myself."
