Wanna One Reunites for New Reality Show After 7 Years

Wanna One is set to reunite for a new reality show after seven years. The recently released stills by Mnet have caught attention, featuring Kang Daniel, who is currently enlisted, and Lai Kuan-lin, who is reportedly overseas.

Global K-POP content platform Mnet Plus announced today (April 1) that Wanna One's new reality program 'WANNA ONE GO: Back to Base' will premiere on April 28 (Tuesday).

Wanna One, consisting of Kang Daniel, Park Ji-hoon, Lee Dae-hwi, Kim Jae-hwan, Ong Seong-wu, Park Woo-jin, Lai Kuan-lin, Yoon Ji-sung, Hwang Min-hyun, Bae Jin-young, and Ha Sung-woon, made a sensational debut in 2017. They entered the Gocheok Sky Dome, achieved a million-seller debut album, and swept rookie and grand prizes at major award ceremonies, creating the 'Wanna One Syndrome.' Even after the project's conclusion, the members have established themselves as top-class solo artists, actors, and producers. This reunion under the name 'Wanna One' is expected to bring novelty and emotion to fans who have been waiting for a long time.

Ahead of the launch, Wanna One will hold an 'Opening Ceremony' on April 6 at 10 AM at the DMC Cultural Park in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, a symbolic location marking their brilliant starting point. This offline event is organized to embark on a new journey with fans after seven years. It will be a moment to share excitement once again with Wannables (fan club name) at the place of their first meeting, officially announcing the start of the program.

The production team stated, “Wanna One was more than just a project group; they were an icon of an era. This reality show, where the members who have grown in their respective fields reunite as 'Wanna One,' will be a gift-like time for fans who have waited for so long.”

'WANNA ONE GO: Back to Base' will premiere on April 28 at 6 PM on Mnet Plus and will air on Mnet at 8 PM.
