Actor In Gyo-jin Shares Shocking Betrayal by Gambling-Addicted Friend
On the October 31st episode of tvN's 'Lee Ho-sun Counseling Center,' the story of a family suffering due to a gambling-addicted member was featured. In Gyo-jin shared his own experience after hearing about a parent who had to pay off their son's 20 million won gambling debt.
In Gyo-jin recounted, "A friend I was close with suddenly stopped contacting me, and it turned out he was in financial trouble due to gambling."
He continued, "I didn't give him money but suggested we have a meal together. Then one day, I received a call from a Kangwon Land number. He had gambled and things went wrong." In Gyo-jin took the friend in for the night as he had nowhere else to go.
The problems didn't end there. The friend later used his daughter's kidney failure as an excuse to ask for more money, which was also a lie. In Gyo-jin explained, "I sent money to the hospital, but then lost contact with my friend. The hospital contacted me asking why I sent the money." He added, "For 15 years, I received calls. I shudder at the thought of gambling."
