AKMU's Chanhyuk Opens Up About Living with Sister Suhyun Amid Her Struggles

AKMU's Chanhyuk has shared the reason behind living with his sister, Suhyun.

On the October 30th episode of tvN's variety show 'You Quiz on the Block', a preview titled 'The story of AKMU, who blossomed after Suhyun's long slump and Chanhyuk's unwavering support!' was released.

In the video, host Yoo Jae-suk asked, "I heard Suhyun went through a slump?" Suhyun recalled, "I spent a very long time without seeing sunlight." Chanhyuk added, "To the family, she seemed to be struggling a lot, but she wasn't aware of her state."

In an interview with the production team, Suhyun candidly shared her feelings. She said, "I started living like a recluse, staying in my room, playing games, and eating delivery food. That was my entire routine." She confessed, "I kept the curtains closed. I didn't even want to know if it was day or night."

She continued, "I binged every day without fail. As my weight rapidly increased, I felt like my body was tearing apart." Suhyun revealed, "At that time, I even thought, 'There's no better future for me.'"

Chanhyuk expressed his desperate feelings for his sister. He said, "If Suhyun were to disappear from my sight or reach an irreversible state, I would regret it for the rest of my life," explaining why he has been living with her for a year.

Hearing this, Suhyun joked, "My brother keeps knocking on my door, asking, 'Did you do cardio today?', 'Did you run on the treadmill?', 'Why haven't you sent me your meal photos?' He talks so much that at some point, I only see his mouth moving."

Meanwhile, 'You Quiz on the Block' airs every Wednesday at 8:45 PM.
