Legendary Coach Seo Jang-hoon Returns with 'Rising Eagles' for Season 2 of 'Passionate Basketball Team'
In the previous season, which aired from November last year to January this year, the 'Rising Eagles' achieved a thrilling victory against basketball powerhouse Philippines, aiming for Asian domination. This season, they plan to continue their quest for Asian supremacy while hosting the 'Passionate Basketball League' against the strongest amateur teams in Korea, showcasing an upgraded version of basketball entertainment.
The 'National Championship' hosted by the 'Rising Eagles' is a league where amateur basketball teams from across the country compete for the title of 'Strongest Team.' A total of eight teams, including Seo Jang-hoon's 'Rising Eagles,' will participate, battling fiercely for regional pride and team honor.
The coaching staff has seen changes as well. KBL legend guard 'Magic Kid' Kim Tae-sul has been recruited, completing a national team-level coaching lineup with head coach Seo Jang-hoon and coaches Jeon Tae-pung and Kim Tae-sul. Kim Tae-sul's addition raises expectations for the 'Rising Eagles' performance. Sandara Park, who joined as a manager in the latter part of Season 1, will continue in Season 2, adding her unique bright energy to the team and boosting their morale.
The 'Rising Eagles' continue their journey for Asian domination. Following their first match against the Philippines, their second opponent is Taiwan, the center of Asian basketball. The game is set to take place at the Taipei Arena, which seats approximately 15,000 spectators, making the outcome of this second international match a key highlight of Season 2.
The domestic league matches will all be held as live events, allowing fans to experience the intense moments as the 'Rising Eagles' strive for victory. 'Passionate Basketball Team' Season 2 is set to air in the second half of this year on SBS and Netflix.
