Hong Seok-cheon Shares Heartfelt Thoughts on Daughter's Wedding Amidst 'Immortal Songs' Performance

Hong Seok-cheon, known for his public coming out, shares his thoughts on his daughter's wedding.

The 749th episode of KBS2's 'Immortal Songs', airing on the 28th, features the '2026 Celebrity King of Songs Part 1'. This episode showcases a variety of performances by celebrities who have officially released albums or singles. The lineup includes Kim Shin-young & Cheon Dan-bi, Lalal, Moon Se-yoon, the 'Chatflix' team from Gag Concert, Park Jun-hyung, Song Il-gook & Oh Man-seok (from the musical 'The Hague'), Lee Chan-seok, Lee Hwi-jae, Jo Hye-ryun, and Hong Seok-cheon, bringing together comedians, actors, and creators in a total of 10 teams, raising expectations.

Among them, Hong Seok-cheon stands out as the main celebrant. Having adopted and raised his second sister's children as his own, Hong recently announced his daughter's wedding, drawing attention. He shared, "My daughter was originally against marriage, so we weren't prepared, but she met a good match. Even I think he's a great groom," expressing warm paternal love.

However, in a humorous twist, Hong, known for his 'top gay' identity, added, "It's a relief. He's not my type," causing laughter. While Hong remained composed, others in the waiting room humorously scrambled to manage the situation.

Hong Seok-cheon delivers a passionate performance of Ailee's 'I'll Show You'. He teased, "I'm good at finding gems. All the handsome guys in Korea are on my SNS, and I've picked the top four gems for today's performance," hinting at an exciting collaboration.

The stage was electrifying, leading the judges to a standing ovation after the 'I'll Show You' performance. Hong humorously remarked, "The in-laws will definitely watch 'Immortal Songs', so I'm a bit worried," adding to the laughter.
