Actress Go Hyun-jung Reflects on Her Newlywed Days in Tokyo
Recently, an online community revisited a vlog titled 'Go Hyun-jung's 30-Year Beloved Nail Clippers from Her Newlywed Days,' which she had posted on her channel.
During a visit to Tokyo for an event, Go Hyun-jung prepared nail clippers and small scissors as gifts for her staff, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere.
In the video, Go Hyun-jung revisited the Nihonbashi area in Tokyo, where she spent about three years of her newlywed life after leaving the entertainment industry following her marriage in 1995. She reminisced, "After debuting in my third year of high school, it was the first time I experienced ordinary days."
She visited her favorite udon restaurant and a small shop she frequented 30 years ago, expressing mixed emotions about the drastically changed streets. She reflected, "Back then, it wasn't this big. I had to bow my head to look up."
Meanwhile, Go Hyun-jung rose to stardom with the 1995 SBS drama 'Sandglass,' but she abruptly retired from the entertainment industry after marrying Shinsegae Group Chairman Chung Yong-jin that year. She had a son and a daughter but divorced by mutual agreement in 2003, with custody going to Chung Yong-jin.
