Sung Si-kyung Takes the Helm as MC for 'The Seasons: Sung Si-kyung's Ear Candy'
On the 27th, a press conference for KBS2's 'The Seasons: Sung Si-kyung's Ear Candy' was held at KBS Art Hall in Yeouido, Seoul. The event was attended by Sung Si-kyung, band master Jeong Dong-hwan, Jeong Mi-young, and PD Son Ja-yeon. 'The Seasons' is a late-night music program featuring top Korean artists like Jay Park, Choi Jung-hoon, AKMU, Lee Hyori, Zico, Lee Young-ji, Park Bo-gum, and 10cm as relay MCs since 2023.
When asked about his first recording experience, Sung humorously remarked, "I didn't expect to be asked to sing so much." He continued, "Initially, I was told to just host, but TV people are scary. By the second recording, they asked me to go off stage. I'm scared of what they'll ask next," bringing laughter to the audience.
When asked about potential guests, Sung expressed his desire to invite "Tamaki Koji from the Japanese band Anzen Chitai." He added, "I want to play a bridging role between Japan and Korea. Just thinking about it excites me." Sung also mentioned, "Among Korean musicians, I'd like to invite those who are rarely seen, like Park Hyo-shin."
Finally, Jeong Dong-hwan stated, "Having worked with 8 MCs, I've had diverse experiences, but with Sung, I can share more ballads I love. Many musicians will appear, and I'll support Sung diligently."
When asked about the differences from other seasons, PD Jeong Mi-young replied, "This season, Sung Si-kyung will present duet stages with new guests each episode." Jeong added, "The segment is inspired by Sung's song 'Two People'. As a duet master, Sung will showcase new duet stages each episode. Please look forward to it."
'The Seasons: Sung Si-kyung's Ear Candy' premieres tonight at 10 PM.
