tvN Drama 'How to Become a Building Owner in Korea' Struggles with Ratings, Introduces Survival Suspense
tvN's weekend drama 'How to Become a Building Owner in Korea' has released an additional 'Building Defense' poster.

'How to Become a Building Owner in Korea' (hereafter 'Building Owner') started with a 4.1% viewership rating for its first episode, dropping to 3.1% by the third episode, and slightly recovering to 3.9% by the fourth episode. This is significantly lower compared to its predecessor, 'Undercover Miss Hong' starring Park Shin-hye, which peaked at 13.1%.

Struggling Ratings, Can Survival Suspense Be the Breakthrough?

Amidst this, the newly released 'Building Defense' poster hints at a full-fledged survival suspense involving characters Ki Soo-jong (played by Ha Jung-woo), Kim Sun (played by Im Soo-jung), Min Hwal-seong (played by Kim Jun-han), Jeon Yi-kyung (played by Jung Soo-jung), and Yona (played by Shim Eun-kyung) surrounding the Seyoon Building.

Up to the fourth episode, Ki Soo-jong's efforts to protect the building he bought with 'Yeonggeul' (a term for borrowing to the limit) led to unexpected outcomes. His fake kidnapping scheme, concocted with his friend Min Hwal-seong for money, spiraled out of control. Min Hwal-seong ended up in a coma due to a fall, and Jeon Yi-kyung, the target of the fake kidnapping, suffered unknowingly.

Kim Sun, who witnessed her husband Ki Soo-jong's kidnapping scheme, decided to help him to protect their family. The couple hid the money obtained from the kidnapping in a bathroom, and in their efforts to keep it hidden, they ended up stabbing Seyoon Building tenant Oh Dong-ki (played by Hyun Bong-sik) with scissors. Yona, showing a ruthless side for the sake of redevelopment, adds an unpredictable and chilling element to the story.

Will Ha Jung-woo's Words, "As Long as We Have Money, No One Gets Hurt," Hold True?

Contrary to Ki Soo-jong's words in the poster, "As long as we have money, no one gets hurt," the characters surrounding Seyoon Building are entangled in incidents, accidents, and crimes, leading to unpredictable situations. The escalating survival suspense in 'Building Owner' foreshadows a story where no one can feel safe.

The fifth episode of 'How to Become a Building Owner in Korea' airs on the 28th at 9:10 PM.
