Unexpected Crisis Unfolds as Secrets Emerge in 'Your Glorious Season'

An unexpected crisis strikes just as Chae Jong-hyeop decides to reveal all his secrets to Lee Sung-kyung.

In the 9th episode of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'Your Glorious Season' (directed by Jeong Sang-hee, Kim Young-jae / written by Jo Seong-hee), aired on the 21st, viewers were left on edge as Sun Woo-chan (played by Chae Jong-hyeop) faced mysterious symptoms, culminating in a tense three-way confrontation with Song Ha-ran (played by Lee Sung-kyung) and Cha Soo-jin (played by Lee Joo-yeon).

During the episode, Song Ha-ran demanded an explanation from Sun Woo-chan about two identical pens, one retrieved from a restaurant and the other given by him. Sun Woo-chan confessed that he had purchased the same pen in the U.S., and Song Ha-ran accepted this as a lie told for her sake, understanding his intentions. However, her trust only deepened Sun Woo-chan's guilt, leading to auditory hallucinations and hearing issues, heightening his anxiety.

Song Ha-ran, keeping the pen gifted by her late boyfriend Kang Hyuk-chan (played by Kwon Do-hyung) in a drawer, began sketching clothes for Sun Woo-chan with the pen he gave her, showing her genuine feelings for him over past wounds.

Sun Woo-chan sought out Cha Soo-jin to fill in the blanks of his memory, revealing that he was present at the explosion that killed Kang Hyuk-chan seven years ago and that the sound of her bracelet haunted his fragmented memories. Cha Soo-jin reacted fiercely, telling him never to return, further deepening the mystery between them.

Meanwhile, the romance between Sun Woo-chan and Song Ha-ran intensified. Sun Woo-chan expressed a desire to see the Milky Way for additional scene work, and Song Ha-ran insisted on accompanying him. Under the starry sky, they shared a kiss, but the moment was cut short by Sun Woo-chan's sudden hearing loss. Back at 'Rest', he confided in Park Man-jae (played by Kang Seok-woo) about his desire to stay by her side through all seasons.

Elsewhere, Kim Na-na (played by Lee Mi-sook) prepared to leave for France despite Park Man-jae's inquiries, transferring editorial and buying responsibilities to Song Ha-ran. Visiting an old neighborhood in Chuncheon with Park Man-jae, she disappeared, leaving him to find her humming in a café, unrecognizable even to herself, revealing a heartbreaking moment.

In another subplot, Yeon Tae-seok (played by Kwon Hyuk) rejected Song Ha-young's (played by Han Ji-hyun) confession after she cared for him during a fever. Despite her openness, he maintained that there was no romantic potential, leaving her in tears as he grappled with guilt over her parents' death 13 years ago.

The storyline of Song Ha-dam (played by Oh Ye-ju) and Cha Yoo-gyeom (played by Kim Tae-young) also left a lasting impression. Discovering Yoo-gyeom's need for bone graft surgery on exam day, Ha-dam chose to stay by his side, but he encouraged her to take the test. Although his surgery was successful, the prognosis for a major league medical test was grim, yet Ha-dam remained supportive, showing her unwavering love.

The episode concluded with Sun Woo-chan's birthday dinner turning into a nightmare. Song Ha-ran, excitedly preparing a cardigan and cake, awaited him, but Sun Woo-chan, triggered by a lighter sound, recalled memories of Kang Hyuk-chan and collapsed on the street.

At the hospital, Song Ha-ran learned from the medical staff that fragments from the accident remained in Sun Woo-chan's brain, causing his hearing loss. Determined, Sun Woo-chan promised to explain everything, declaring he would stay by her side.

The tension peaked as Song Ha-ran, shocked outside the ER, encountered Cha Soo-jin, dropping her bracelet. As Sun Woo-chan emerged, the three-way confrontation left viewers eagerly anticipating the next episode.

MBC's 'Your Glorious Season' will air its 10th episode on Friday, the 27th, at 9:50 PM.
