Korean singer DinDin is making a comeback to the show 'Welcome, First Time in Korea?' after five years.

According to his agency, Superbell Company, DinDin will appear as an MC on the MBC Every1 variety show 'Welcome, First Time in Korea?' which airs its first episode on October 19 at 8:30 PM. The show is a domestic travel reality program that captures the real Korean travel experiences of foreigners visiting from various countries, offering viewers a mix of travel excitement, cultural differences, and humor.

DinDin is expected to showcase his unique charm with witty banter and candid reactions on the show. As one of the original members from the pilot episode, his return is anticipated to be warmly received by the audience.

DinDin's Thoughts on His Return

Ahead of the first broadcast, DinDin expressed through Superbell Company, "I'm thrilled to return to 'Welcome, First Time in Korea?' which feels like home. Coming back after five years, I immediately felt it was the right decision as soon as I entered the studio and the recording began." He added, "My chemistry with Junhyun has improved even more than before. The upcoming France episode brought back the emotions I felt when I first started the program. I hope for a lot of interest and anticipation."

Why Did the Previous MCs Leave?

Meanwhile, 'Welcome, First Time in Korea?' has revamped its MC lineup ahead of a format change. Former MCs Alberto and Lee Hyun-yi have stepped down. Alberto recently faced controversy over comments related to historical distortions between Korea and Japan. In November last year, during a discussion on a YouTube channel about his children's education, he mentioned, "Our Leo is very interested in Korean history and often says, 'Mom, the Japanese were really bad.' However, since we have Japanese family members, I advise him to 'listen to both sides of the story.'"
