‘I Am Solo’ Stars Address Breakup Rumors and Comment on New Season's Dates

Former 'I Am Solo' participants from the 29th season, Young-ja and Young-soo, recently shared their thoughts on the dating scenes of the 30th season contestants.

The official YouTube channel 'SBS Plus Spls' released a video titled 'Young-soo X Soon-ja's Tension and 29th Season's Dopamine Commentary (Breakup Rumor Clarification, Advice).' In the video, Young-ja and Young-soo from the 29th season reunited, drawing attention. During their season, Young-ja had a promising connection with Sang-cheol, who was nine years her junior, but they did not end up as a couple. Meanwhile, Young-soo became a popular figure, forming a real-life couple with Ok-soon, which garnered significant interest.

Recently, rumors of a breakup between Young-soo and Ok-soon surfaced online after photos of them together were reportedly deleted from social media. Young-ja directly asked Young-soo if the breakup rumors were true. Young-soo dismissed the rumors, stating, "The conclusion is that it's a false rumor," and confirmed that he is still happily dating Ok-soon.

Young-ja advised Young-soo to "stay humble," to which he agreed. The duo then proceeded to watch and comment on the 30th season's dating scenes. They first discussed a scene where Young-sook and Sang-cheol went on a roller-skating date. When Sang-cheol struggled with skating, Young-sook held his hand, prompting Young-ja to comment, "You shouldn't be too skilled." Young-soo jokingly remarked that Young-ja is a "dating expert," eliciting laughter.

After their date, the atmosphere between Sang-cheol and Young-sook turned sour in the car, leading Young-ja to note, "There's something about couples driving when the mood is off." Young-soo, who doesn't drive, couldn't relate.

The producer reminded them of a similar situation during Young-ja's last date with Sang-cheol in the 29th season. Young-ja, taken aback, apologized for her "immature behavior." As the 30th season's Young-soo gained popularity, causing a stir between Ok-soon and Soon-ja, Young-ja humorously questioned why Young-soos are always so popular, glancing at her co-commentator.

Young-soo acknowledged the attention, saying, "Young-soos are making headlines," and expressed his delight at being part of the buzz and memorable moments. For the 30th season, Young-soo highlighted a scene where Young-ho told Young-sook he would endure the negatives, while Young-ja chose a moment where Hyun-sook quietly burped after drinking beer and said, "Excuse me."
