Comedian Jung Jun-ha Reveals Heartwarming Friendship with Chef Myung Hyun-ji and How It Led to His Marriage

Comedian Jung Jun-ha, who once faced public backlash due to a conflict on a past variety show, has shared the heartwarming story of his deep friendship with renowned chef Myung Hyun-ji, which eventually played a pivotal role in his marriage.

On the YouTube channel 'Hawasu', run by comedians Park Myung-soo and Jung Jun-ha, a video titled 'Reuniting the Legendary Kimchi Pancake Duo... We Made a New Version Instead' was uploaded.

In the video, Chef Myung Hyun-ji, who was at the center of the infamous 'Kimchi Pancake Incident' during the MBC 'Infinite Challenge' New York special, appeared as a guest, reuniting with Jung Jun-ha and Park Myung-soo.

Jung Jun-ha expressed his delight in seeing Chef Myung Hyun-ji, describing her as a significant turning point in his life. Park Myung-soo jokingly mentioned the negative comments Jung faced at the time, and Jung recalled singing an apology song on the show, sharing his desperate feelings back then, which brought laughter.

It was revealed that right after the broadcast, Jung Jun-ha called Chef Myung Hyun-ji to sincerely apologize, a gesture that moved her to tears. This incident marked the beginning of their close friendship. Jung continued to invite her to his musical performances and even chose her restaurant as the venue for his pre-wedding meeting, showcasing their strong bond.

In a surprising revelation, it was disclosed that Chef Myung Hyun-ji played a crucial role in Jung Jun-ha's marriage. She shared that Jung's mother-in-law called her before the wedding for a two-hour conversation, seeking genuine insight into Jung's character. Chef Myung Hyun-ji vouched for him, expressing her support, which Jung credits as a key factor in his marriage, repeatedly expressing his gratitude.

Meanwhile, Chef Myung Hyun-ji mentioned her recent participation in the popular Netflix cooking competition 'Black and White Chef: Culinary Class War Season 2'. Although her scenes were edited out, she humbly appreciated the opportunity to compete among talented chefs. During the cooking demonstration, Jung and Park displayed their usual banter, with Park humorously discussing his increased appearances on MBC and joking about the year-end awards, causing laughter on set.
