Lee Sun-bin Opens Up About Her Journey and Brings Tears to Her Eyes on 'Kang Ho-dong's Bookstore'
On the October 13th episode of Coupang Play's variety show 'Kang Ho-dong's Bookstore', actress Lee Sun-bin appeared as a guest.
'Kang Ho-dong's Bookstore' is a talk show where the loud-voiced yet soft-hearted INFP bookstore owner 'Hocrates' (Kang Ho-dong) engages in sincere conversations with guests who visit the bookstore.
Lee Sun-bin captivated the audience by narrating her tumultuous 'straightforward life story' like a sitcom. She recalled her tough times when she moved to Seoul alone with dreams of becoming an idol, spending nights in practice rooms. She shared an episode where she washed her hair in the company bathroom due to lack of money to go home, adding humor by saying, “The CEO gave me 10,000 won a day to wash up.”
While discussing the project 'Let's Go to the Moon', which showcased her perfect 'character-actor unity', Lee Sun-bin revealed her recent interest in studying gold. She entered the 'gold tech' world after receiving a gold turtle as a gift and expressed her satisfaction with the rising gold prices by clapping like a seal during filming.
Throughout the episode, Lee Sun-bin and 'Hocrates' genuinely empathized with each other's stories, showcasing the unique emotional chemistry of 'Power F'. When Lee Sun-bin expressed her desire to become an actress who delivers the endings people expect, 'Hocrates' responded with his trademark emotional comment, “I miss you even while watching you,” bringing tears to Lee Sun-bin's eyes.
