Korean actress Lee Kyung-sil has revealed her transformation into a shaman after receiving a spiritual calling.

On the October 12th episode of MBN's 'Special World,' Lee Kyung-sil, who is now walking the path of a shaman, made an appearance.

Lee, who debuted as a 14th generation KBS public talent alongside stars like Lee Byung-hun, Son Hyun-joo, and Kim Jung-nan, has a shrine set up in her home. She shared, "I received my spiritual calling in the year 2000, so it's been about 26 years now. It's a general's shrine, so the male spirit is very strong."

Regarding the circumstances that led to her spiritual calling, she explained, "My mother was on her way to celebrate my birthday when she was hit by a bus at a crosswalk and passed away. During a ritual to honor her spirit at the site of her passing, the shamans present said, 'This happened because of the youngest.' As a result, I secluded myself for almost a year. Living outside felt meaningless."

Although she attempted to return to acting, it proved challenging. "I often mixed up my lines with the spiritual messages I was receiving, leading to many mistakes. I experienced intense internal conflict," she admitted. Currently, she is active as an actress primarily taking on roles as a shaman, while living the life of a real shaman.
