Go Youn-jung Joins JTBC's New Drama Amid Chanel Ambassador Controversy

Actress Go Youn-jung, currently embroiled in a controversy over her status as a Chanel ambassador, is set to star in JTBC's new weekend drama, 'Everyone is Fighting Their Own Worthlessness.'

Scheduled to premiere on November 18, JTBC's new drama 'Everyone is Fighting Their Own Worthlessness' (hereafter referred to as 'EFW') follows the journey of a person driven to madness by jealousy and envy among successful friends, as they seek inner peace.

In the drama, Go Youn-jung takes on the role of Byun Eun-ah, a film producer at Choi Film, known in the industry as 'The Axe' for her sharp scenario reviews. Eun-ah dreams of maintaining a calm center in any situation but lives with the trauma of nosebleeds whenever her emotions reach their limit. Go Youn-jung is expected to deliver a compelling performance, portraying the character's inner turmoil with a nuanced blend of anger, anxiety, and fear of abandonment.

Eun-ah's encounter with Dong-man (played by Koo Kyo-hwan), a character with a strong inner core, helps her heal her wounds while transforming his worthlessness into a radiant value. Go Youn-jung's deep gaze and stable emotional portrayal are anticipated to strongly support the drama's emotional depth.

'Everyone is Fighting Their Own Worthlessness' is the latest work by writer Park Hae-young, known for creating a sensation with 'My Mister' and 'My Liberation Notes,' and is directed by Cha Young-hoon, known for his gentle mise-en-scène. The addition of Go Youn-jung is expected to enhance the drama's narrative density and emotional intensity.

Earlier this year, Go Youn-jung showcased her charm in the Netflix series 'Is This Love Translatable?' with a romantic comedy full of excitement. With 'Everyone is Fighting Their Own Worthlessness,' she is set to expand her range by exploring different emotional textures.
