Renowned singer Sung Si-kyung has been announced as the host for the ninth season of 'The Seasons'.

On the 11th, KBS revealed, "The ninth season of KBS 2TV's music talk show 'The Seasons' will premiere on March 27 under the title 'The Seasons - Sung Si-kyung's Ear Boyfriend'."

Previously, KBS released a teaser video that sparked curiosity with its new title, receiving an enthusiastic response. Known as the 'Ballad Emperor' in the music industry for his unique voice and emotional depth, Sung Si-kyung's season is aptly titled 'Sung Si-kyung's Ear Boyfriend', reflecting his signature style.

Sung Si-kyung is set to lead the program with his extensive musical expertise, stage experience, and witty charm showcased in various broadcasts and content. 'The Seasons' is the first KBS late-night music talk show to adopt a seasonal MC format, featuring top Korean artists like Jay Park, Choi Jung-hoon (Jannabi), AKMU, Lee Hyori, Zico, Lee Young-ji, Park Bo-gum, and 10cm as hosts since 2023.

The first recording of 'The Seasons - Sung Si-kyung's Ear Boyfriend' will take place on the 17th, with the premiere airing on March 27 at 10 PM.

Meanwhile, in November last year, Sung Si-kyung faced financial issues with a manager he had worked with for over a decade. His agency, SK Jaewon, stated, "It was confirmed that Sung Si-kyung's former manager engaged in actions that betrayed the company's trust during his tenure. We are aware of the seriousness of the matter and are verifying the exact extent of the damage. The employee in question has since resigned."
