Kim Gura Opens Up About Divorce and Remarriage on New Reality Show 'X's Private Life'

After his 2015 divorce and subsequent remarriage to a non-celebrity 12 years his junior in 2020, broadcaster Kim Gura has spoken about his experiences with divorce.

TV CHOSUN's 'X's Private Life' is a reality observation program that follows the daily lives of divorced ex-spouses. Once closer than anyone, these individuals now live separate lives, showcasing the emotions and changes that linger after a relationship ends. Dubbed a 'divorced couples' reality check,' the show features MCs Kim Gura and Jang Yoon-jung, with panelists Cheon Rok-dam and Jung Kyung-mi completing the lineup.

Kim Gura expressed his excitement about joining the program, stating, "I'm happy to be part of this new show. Having experienced both divorce and remarriage, I feel I can empathize with the participants and offer realistic advice." He added, "I want to show that divorce isn't the end but can be a new beginning. I also have a strong desire to share my experiences honestly."

Jang Yoon-jung also resonated with the show's concept, saying, "I've always wanted to try observational entertainment. As someone who's been married for 14 years, I believe I can offer empathy and comfort." She further explained, "The idea of viewing divorce not just as the end of a marriage but as a process of redefining relationships was impressive."

Panelist Jung Kyung-mi shared, "I'm honored to be part of such a great program. Watching couples who once lived together now lead separate lives and supporting their new journeys felt refreshing." Cheon Rok-dam added, "The concept of observing an ex-spouse's private life intrigued me, making me wonder how I would feel in that situation. The show's purpose was appealing, and upon hearing the names of the MCs, I immediately agreed to join."

Meanwhile, 'X's Private Life' is set to premiere on the 17th at 10 PM.
