Last year, TV personality Lee Sang-min, who remarried a non-celebrity 10 years his junior, revealed that he personally buried his pet cat.

In the 11th episode of 'Ghost Story Note 2,' the story of a couple filling the void left by their pet with misfortune is introduced. The protagonists are a couple married for five years, who had a cat named 'Coco' that they raised like a child since their dating days. However, three months ago, Coco passed away due to asthma, causing a rift in their daily lives.

The first to show signs of distress was the wife. Her condition suddenly worsened, and she began suffering from an unexplained cough. Despite visiting the hospital, no clear cause was found. Her symptoms persisted, and she even started having nightmares every night.

Meanwhile, the husband's behavior also changed. After starting stock investments, he became increasingly neglectful of his wife, often staying out late. One day, he came home drunk, hallucinated, and fell, breaking his arm. As their health and relationship deteriorated, the wife sought the help of a shaman.

The shaman identified the unexpected source of their troubles: the urn containing Coco's ashes kept in their home. The couple believed they were still living with Coco and kept the urn at home, even offering food Coco couldn't eat in life. The shaman explained, "It wasn't Coco that brought misfortune, but the spirits attracted by the food left in the memorial space."

The shaman further warned, "A soul that has lost its body must eventually go to the afterlife. Holding onto a soul that should be let go, under the guise of love, is something to reconsider."

Upon hearing the story, Lee Sang-min asked, "Is it not okay to keep just the pet's urn at home?" The shaman firmly replied, "No." Lee Sang-min then recalled his own experience, saying, "I once personally buried my pet cat." The shaman added that the best way to let go naturally is to use a wooden coffin that allows the body to decompose naturally in the ground, ultimately returning it to nature.

Other chilling true ghost stories, including a man whose life was ruined by a stolen jar and another who mistook a household spirit for an evil ghost, will be revealed on 'Ghost Story Note 2' airing on KBS Joy at 11:40 PM on the 21st.
