Wi Ha-jun Shines in 'Siren' with Captivating Performance and Intriguing Plot Twists
In the third episode of 'Siren', which aired on the 9th, Wi Ha-jun (playing Cha Woo-seok) officially joins Royal Auction as an art insurance agent to delve into mysterious incidents, marking the beginning of an 'internal chase'. From his charismatic charm in the first half to the chilling twist ending, Wi Ha-jun delivered an intense immersion in every scene.
The episode revealed why Wi Ha-jun's character is so obsessed with the case. His past as a detective, where he lost his brother to insurance fraud, turned him into a relentless pursuer. In a scene where he drinks soju, Wi Ha-jun reflects Cha Woo-seok's human side with a look of regret and pain, saying, “Another victim like my brother appeared, so I won't let it happen again.”
As an insurance agent at Royal Auction, Cha Woo-seok begins a dangerous partnership with Han Seol-ah (played by Park Min-young). A standout scene in episode 3 was their close conversation in a dark storage room.
After Seol-ah leaves, pushing his shoulder, Cha Woo-seok's expression subtly changes, capturing his growing attraction and suspicion towards her.
Towards the end of the episode, Wi Ha-jun delivers another epic ending. He discovers that Kim Yoon-ji had been secretly using an apartment opposite Han Seol-ah's home to monitor her. Without dialogue, Wi Ha-jun conveys shock through his eyes and ends the scene with a complex expression as he notices Seol-ah seemingly watching him.
In this episode, Wi Ha-jun flawlessly portrays the sly 'Cha Seung-sa-ja', his relentless pursuit of truth, and his growing emotional turmoil over Han Seol-ah.
Meanwhile, the drama 'Siren' airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10 PM.
