Kim Won-hee Reveals Scandal with Kang Ho-dong on 'But Seriously!' Show

Actress Kim Won-hee shared the behind-the-scenes story of her scandal with Kang Ho-dong on the SBS variety show 'But Seriously!' aired on the 9th.

Kim Won-hee appeared on the show, where her connections with men in the entertainment industry were revealed. Following Shin Dong-yup, the second person mentioned was Kang Ho-dong, with whom she had a scandal. Lee Soo-ji expressed shock, asking, "Did you two date?" while Lee Sang-min added, "According to the articles, Won-hee approached him first."

Upon confirming the article titled 'Kim Won-hee Seduces Kang Ho-dong,' Kim Won-hee said, "Did such an article really come out? It was my first scandal, and it was quite serious. Reporters even came to the recording to verify it. They checked with people around us, and there were even witnesses."

Kim Won-hee and Kang Ho-dong met in 1996 on 'Happy Saturday,' where they played a married couple. The cast members bombarded her with questions like "Did you confess to each other?" "Why do you think the scandal happened?" and "Was there any misunderstanding? Did you ever eat together?"

Kim Won-hee explained, "The articles detailed seeing us together. We later had a phone call because of the scandal. It was too serious to laugh off. When I asked Kang Ho-dong if he heard the rumors, he said, 'Don't call me, hang up, rumors will spread!' and hung up."

It was revealed that Kim Won-hee had made the same statement 30 years ago through a VCR. At that time, Kang Ho-dong claimed, "I don't know Kim Won-hee's contact," but Kim Won-hee clarified, "I know Kang Ho-dong's number. We've never met personally."

She expressed, "I was so shocked that I said the same thing back then. I needed to resolve it over the phone, but he acted as if I started the rumor. It was so embarrassing."

The two later reunited on 'X-Man.' During a game, Kang Ho-dong mentioned, "A two-year age difference is suitable for a couple. Despite the scandal, you appeared on 'X-Man' because you wanted to see me, right?" Kim Won-hee retorted, "I'll talk about the bag and shoes you bought me in front of the camera," winning the exchange.

Kim Won-hee shared her thoughts on Kang Ho-dong as a man, "After filming, we ate together. He grilled meat but didn't flip it and ate two pieces at a time. He ate five pieces of seaweed without sharing. Even as a colleague, that's too much. He ate 9 out of 10 points. That's when I lost interest."

Due to the awkwardness from the scandal, Kim Won-hee said, "Initially, I didn't receive an invitation to Kang Ho-dong's wedding. But I went. It would have been strange not to. Kang Ho-dong probably came to my wedding too."
