Kim Jong-kook Chooses Yoo Jae-suk Over Ji Suk-jin on 'Running Man'

On the latest episode of SBS's variety show 'Running Man,' aired on the 8th, Kim Jong-kook made a firm choice in favor of Yoo Jae-suk.

The episode featured the 'Run and Fun Company: Spin the Roulette' race. Kim Jong-kook, who has shown changes since getting married, was at the center of attention. When Ji Suk-jin expressed a desire to give his wife another chance if he could go back to before their marriage, Yoo Jae-suk humorously revealed, "Hyung only wears underwear at home."

Kim Jong-kook retorted, "Save on heating costs at home. Isn't it cold just wearing underwear?" to which Ji Suk-jin complained, "You should turn on the heating." HaHa added to the humor by recalling how Kim Jong-kook's frugality once made his home as cold as an ice rink.

When asked if he uses heating these days, Kim Jong-kook admitted, "After getting married, I do use heating," but HaHa jokingly spread a rumor that Kim's wife wears Moncler at home, causing laughter.

The members engaged in a balance game, a dilemma relatable to any office worker, with lunch at stake.

The tricky question was whether to choose the 'promising but competitive Yoo Jae-suk line' or the 'uncertain future but well-cared-for Ji Suk-jin line.' The members engaged in a heated debate.

Kim Jong-kook humorously commented in front of Ji Suk-jin, "Even if you go elsewhere, it's better to have been under Yoo Jae-suk. They'll say, 'You were under Yoo Jae-suk? You must have learned well,' and hire you."

Ji Suk-jin responded, "Are you talking as if I'm not here? My goal is to live leisurely." However, Yang Se-chan also insisted, "It's better to have a promising future," firmly choosing Yoo's line.

When Ji Suk-jin asked, "Would you not do 'Running Man' without Yoo Jae-suk?" Kim Jong-kook firmly replied, "I wouldn't do 'Running Man' without Yoo Jae-suk."

Ultimately, Ji Suk-jin chose the 'Yoo Jae-suk line,' causing laughter. Even Yoo Jae-suk lost the game, prompting HaHa to jokingly call Ji Suk-jin a "greedy old man," adding to the humor.

Meanwhile, Kim Jong-kook and Song Ji-hyo were once unilaterally informed by the 'Running Man' production team in December 2016 that they would be leaving the show. Kim Jong-kook reportedly received the notice just three days prior. Following strong viewer criticism, the production team apologized, and all members remained on the show.
