Yang Joon-hyuk Opens Up About Marriage Rumors and Family Opposition

On the upcoming episode of KBS2's variety show 'The Boss Has Donkey Ears' (hereafter 'The Boss'), airing on the 8th, Yang Joon-hyuk hosts a housewarming party at his new ocean-view apartment in Pohang, inviting his in-laws. Despite not having finished unpacking, Yang surprises his wife with the gathering.

With his father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, cousin-in-law, and nieces and nephews in attendance, Yang shares the backstory of his marriage, revealing, "I won my wife's heart after 10 years of courtship, but faced despair due to her family's opposition."

Yang dispels rumors that his wife married him for his wealth, stating, "It's not true. At the time of our marriage, I was a failed businessman." He expresses gratitude to his wife for choosing to marry him despite his financial struggles, and Kim Sook comments, "That's true love," as she becomes engrossed in their story.

Yang's wife reveals that she informed her parents of her desire to marry him via text on Parents' Day, capturing attention. Yang's father-in-law confesses, "When I heard my daughter was marrying someone 19 years older, I woke up in the middle of the night and cried," wiping away tears. He adds, "I'm born in 1960, and my son-in-law in 1969. If he had been born in the '70s, I might have worried less," to which Yang nods in agreement, saying, "I would have opposed it too."
