North Korean Defector Chef Lee Soon-sil Transforms into K-pop Star Jang Won-young on 'Sadangwi'
In today's (8th) episode of 'Sadangwi', viewers will witness the behind-the-scenes of Lee Soon-sil's boss's reminder wedding photoshoot. Lee Soon-sil, who previously lost 30kg with Wegovy, undergoes a complete transformation with contouring makeup and a sophisticated Cheongdam-dong hairstyle.
To achieve Lee Soon-sil's idol transformation, makeup artist Shop Ddung, who works with Jeon Hyun-moo and Hong Hyun-hee, steps in. Despite Lee's bold request to be made into Jang Won-young, Shop Ddung creates a miraculous V-line on her face, astonishing everyone. Lee Soon-sil then straightens her naturally curly hair, adopting an elegant Cheongdam-dong madam hairstyle.
Upon seeing the fully transformed Lee Soon-sil, Jeon Hyun-moo exclaims, "She looks like a musical actress. The old Lee Soon-sil is back," while Park Myung-soo comments, "She looks 10 years younger," unable to hide his amazement. However, during the wedding dress fitting, Lee Soon-sil insists on a style that covers her body, leaving everyone puzzled. She reveals, "I have scars from electric torture during my defection, which gives me trauma about revealing wedding dresses." Her husband adds, "The only wedding photo we have is in traditional Korean attire," moving Jeon Hyun-moo and Park Myung-soo to tears.
Once Lee Soon-sil completes her transformation into a radiant bride, her husband is left speechless, saying, "If Jang Won-young aged, she would look like this. To me, Lee Soon-sil is Jang Won-young," gazing at her with love-filled eyes.
Lee Soon-sil's reminder wedding, showcasing her Jang Won-young-like visuals, promises to bring her the biggest smile since escaping North Korea. Viewers can catch this heartwarming transformation on the full broadcast of 'Sadangwi'.
