Professor Lee Seung-hoon Debunks 'Frank's Sign' Myth on MBN's 'Day & Night'
On the October 7th broadcast of MBN's 'Kim Joo-ha's Day & Night,' renowned stroke expert Professor Lee Seung-hoon made an appearance.
Professor Lee gained significant attention with a YouTube video titled "Doctors Risk Their Careers to Say This," which surpassed 4.5 million views.
During the broadcast, Professor Lee explained about strokes, stating, "Ischemic strokes account for 70%, with a mortality rate of less than 5%. The issue isn't death but disability. Hemorrhagic strokes have a mortality rate of 40-50%, making death a concern."
He further shared the 'golden numbers' to prevent the second stage, atherosclerosis. "If blood pressure is '130/80mmHg,' HbA1c is below '7%', and LDL cholesterol is below '160,' the probability of atherosclerosis is 0%. Checking these numbers once a year is sufficient."
Professor Lee noted, "While many medical papers discuss this, the issue is that the earlobe crease, coronary arteries, and cerebral vessels are physically distant and different in tissue. It's more of a medical myth."
