Choi Baek-ho Bids Farewell to 'Romantic Era' After 18 Years on SBS Love FM

Legendary singer and DJ Choi Baek-ho (75) is set to leave his long-running radio show, 'Choi Baek-ho's Romantic Era,' after 18 years.

Choi Baek-ho, who has been the voice of SBS Love FM's (103.5MHz) 'Romantic Era,' will host his final show on March 31. Since 2008, Choi has been a beloved figure in late-night radio, captivating listeners with his warm presence and deep musical selections. Over the years, he has provided comfort and romance to many with his genuine storytelling and heartfelt music.

'Choi Baek-ho's Romantic Era' has aired on SBS Love FM since 2008, broadcasting from 10:05 PM to midnight on weekdays and from 10 PM to midnight on weekends. The program has been a platform for sharing nostalgic and romantic music, transcending generations and genres under the guiding principle of playing 'good songs.' Choi's sincere narratives and profound musical sensibility have made it a staple of SBS Love FM.

On the March 2 broadcast, Choi announced, "I will be leaving 'Romantic Era,' which I have hosted for 18 years. I will be with you until March 31. It has been a joyful and happy journey thanks to all of you. I will continue to sing and connect with you in that way. I am grateful for the remaining time we have together. Thank you so much for everything. I have been truly happy because of you."

The production team of 'Romantic Era' also expressed their gratitude to Choi for his long-standing contribution. Producer Lee Seung-hoon stated, "We are immensely grateful for Choi's significant role in the development of Love FM over the past 18 years and for bringing joy to our listeners. Thank you for your hard work."

The final broadcast of 'Choi Baek-ho's Romantic Era' will air live on March 31 at 10:05 PM, with the subsequent program yet to be announced.
