Kim Joong-do Opens Up About Life After Andre Kim's Passing
Appearing on the CGN YouTube channel on the 3rd, Kim Joong-do shared his feelings about the financial struggles the company faced after his father's passing.
Born in 1982, Kim Joong-do was adopted by Andre Kim at 18 months old and was raised by his father, who remained single throughout his life. He reminisced, "My father took on the role of both parents since my mother wasn't there. He took me to school every day and cared for everything from A to Z."
He added, "It was overwhelming as a child, but now I'm grateful."
Regarding the pressure of being the son of the famous 'Andre Kim,' he said, "My father was such a great figure that it was a heavy burden. I even resented why I had to go through such things."
Kim recalled a moment of despair, saying, "When I felt overwhelmed, I went up to the rooftop of our building one night. I even had extreme thoughts. Suddenly, I heard a voice saying 'Come to me' three times."
Feeling the void left by his father, Kim Joong-do shared, "I struggled emotionally for years. I felt lonely and empty, and even had trauma. I see my father's clothes and traces in the studio every day, and although he's not visible, I feel like he's with me. Now, I only feel gratitude and miss him dearly."
