Korean Actress Jeon Soo-kyung Reveals Her American Husband Eric Swanson on TV Show
Jeon met her husband Eric during a challenging time while battling thyroid cancer, through a friend's introduction. Eric, who has worked as a general manager at a renowned hotel for 16 years, is currently working in Taiwan, making them a 'long-distance couple.'
Jeon expressed her mixed feelings about her husband's work, saying, “I wish he could retire and spend more time together, but working keeps him healthy, so I have mixed feelings.” Han Hye-jin empathized, saying, “He needs to go out,” while Jeon Hyun-moo humorously retorted, “Who doesn’t go out?” Han Hye-jin sighed deeply and added, “My husband hasn’t retired yet. He needs to go out more,” showing support for her hardworking husband, Ki Sung-yong, which brought laughter.
Jeon recounted, “Blood was dripping onto his tuxedo, and the bone on his nose was visible,” describing the severity of the situation. Despite the circumstances, Eric insisted on proceeding with the ceremony after receiving first aid, allowing the wedding to continue.
Thanks to Eric's sacrifice, Jeon's father was able to enjoy his daughter's wedding and became very fond of his son-in-law. To comfort her father, who misses Eric, Jeon arranged a video call between them. Upon seeing Eric, her father immediately exclaimed, “Thank you very much,” surprising both Jeon and Eric.
Jeon's 97-year-old father, who has been practicing English to communicate with his American son-in-law, showcases their unexpected chemistry during the video call. This heartwarming interaction will be aired on 'Dad and Me Season 3' at 10 PM.
