Esom Stars as Cold-Hearted Lawyer in SBS's New Drama 'Shin-Irang Law Firm'

Esom takes on the role of elite lawyer Han Na-hyun in the upcoming SBS drama 'Shin-Irang Law Firm'.

In the new Friday-Saturday drama 'Shin-Irang Law Firm', Esom portrays Han Na-hyun, a cold-blooded elite lawyer who has never lost a case. The drama promises to reveal the true story behind her icy exterior, hinting at the cracks that begin to form in her seemingly unbreakable facade.

Premiering on the 13th, 'Shin-Irang Law Firm' is a unique and heartwarming adventure where the spirited lawyer Shin-Irang, played by Yoo Yeon-seok, helps resolve the grudges of the deceased, while Han Na-hyun stakes everything on winning her cases. Esom's character is the ace lawyer of a major law firm, known for her undefeated record.

To understand Han Na-hyun's present, Esom imagined the journey she has taken. Esom shared, "Although she appears cold and strong, I wondered if she might have hidden wounds and pain." She added, "I thought she might be someone who shuts out external emotions due to the fear of getting hurt." As Han Na-hyun gets to know Shin-Irang, she experiences failures and anger, but gradually, her perspective shifts, and she discovers a side of herself she never knew existed.

Esom chose this project because of the character's transformation. She explained, "I was curious to see how a cold character, focused solely on winning, would change after meeting Shin-Irang, who is her complete opposite. The process of Han Na-hyun, who has lived a results-driven life, encountering Shin-Irang, who moves with heart and justice, was intriguing."

The relationship between Shin-Irang and Han Na-hyun is also a key point of interest. Esom noted, "While Na-hyun is driven by law and winning, Shin-Irang genuinely listens to people's stories. Although they stand on opposite sides, as they work together, subtle emotions will develop. I think viewers will find this aspect fascinating." Regarding her chemistry with Yoo Yeon-seok, she said, "It's our first project together, but I had faith he would portray Shin-Irang well. Even when I was busy with my lines, he managed to maintain a great atmosphere on set. I learned a lot from him."

'Shin-Irang Law Firm' premieres on the 13th at 9:50 PM.
