Kim Hee-chul's (42) nostalgic journey causes a filming delay, highlighting the generation gap with Lee Mi-joo (31).

On October 27, at 8:30 PM, KBS Joy's '20th Century Hit Song' episode 302 will feature a special segment where viewers pick their favorite nostalgic songs from their childhood, titled 'Viewer's PICK! Hit Songs Loved by Elementary School Students of the Past.'

The episode will introduce Shim Shin's 'Only You,' a follow-up track from his 1990 debut album. This rock-influenced dance song, known for its passionate lyrics and rhythmic melody, brought Shim Shin to the peak of his career, sweeping rookie awards at various ceremonies.

The song even topped the charts, surpassing Cho Yong-pil's 'Dream,' and sparked the Shim Shin syndrome in the summer of 1991. Watching archival footage of Shim Shin, Kim Hee-chul reminisces, "I was often told I looked like Shim Shin when I was young," surprising Lee Mi-joo when a photo is revealed.

Shim Shin was a trendsetter in the early '90s, popularizing sunglasses and leather jackets, and his signature 'gun dance' was frequently used in student council election campaigns. Kim Hee-chul recalls a class president election, saying, "I still remember a friend who took off his shoes to make a campaign promise," reminiscing about those days.

He also recalls, "There were so many classes and students that we had morning and afternoon shifts," and remembers his childhood crushes, "the cartoon character Shampoo and the goddess of the century, Monica Bellucci." He also reminisces about chicks being sold in front of school gates in the '90s, saying, "My mom always told me not to buy them," adding, "It was a lesson in valuing life," which led to laughter in the studio when he joked, "Maybe my parents recognized my lack of emotion early on."

While Kim Hee-chul is lost in nostalgia, Lee Mi-joo asks, "Isn't there anyone born in my era?" seeking connection. The episode, which recorded the highest participation rate ever, can be seen on '20th Century Hit Song' episode 302.
