Korean TV Host Jun Hyun-moo Apologizes for Inappropriate Remarks During Broadcast
Jun Hyun-moo has issued a heartfelt apology for using inappropriate language during a broadcast.

On the 23rd, his agency SM C&C released an official statement expressing, "We feel a heavy responsibility for the hurt caused to the deceased and their family by certain expressions used during the broadcast." They added, "Regardless of the context, we should have been more cautious when mentioning the deceased."

The statement continued, "In the process of summarizing the participant's remarks, some words were repeated verbatim, and we failed to adequately assess the appropriateness of the expressions. We deeply regret not showing proper respect to the deceased." They further stated, "We sincerely apologize to the deceased and their family, as well as to all viewers who may have felt uncomfortable. We will conduct an internal review to ensure stricter standards and prevent recurrence."

Previously, on the 11th, during the second episode of Disney Plus's 'The War of Destiny 49', a mission involved deducing the cause of death from a deceased person's photo, birth, and death dates. The mission was to guess the cause of death of Officer Lee Jae-hyun, who was fatally stabbed while apprehending a suspect in a 2004 violent crime. A shaman on the show speculated, "Isn't it commonly referred to as a 'knife wound'?" to which Jun Hyun-moo responded, "A person in uniform with a 'knife wound'. That's too direct."
