Korean entertainer Tak Jae-hoon (57) is making a comeback to romance reality shows after six years. Following his remarks about a girlfriend at last year's year-end awards, which sparked dating rumors, he is now openly discussing remarriage, fully embracing a romantic theme.

Tak Jae-hoon has been selected as an MC for Channel A's variety show 'Modern Men's Life - Groom Class 2' (hereafter 'Groom Class 2'), which premieres on March 19. Among the previous MCs, only Lee Seung-chul remains, with Tak Jae-hoon and Song Hae-na joining to complete the new 3-MC lineup. Unlike the first season, where all MCs were married, this season features 'divorced' Tak Jae-hoon and 'single' Song Hae-na, offering a fresh perspective.

This marks Tak Jae-hoon's return to romance reality shows since his appearance on MBN's 'Can We Love Again 3 - Unexpected Couples' (hereafter 'CWA3') in 2020. At that time, he created a romantic atmosphere with Oh Hyun-kyung, who is two years younger. Although he is an MC in 'Groom Class 2', teaser footage shows him meeting a woman in a café, hinting at a possible participant role. The narration states, "Days in black and white without believing in love. At the end of that silence, I met her. Another love has come to me." In a character video, Tak Jae-hoon also mentions remarriage.

Following the conclusion of SBS's 'Shoes Off, Single Men' after 4 years and 5 months, Tak Jae-hoon is shifting focus from 'divorcee' to 'remarriage'. 'Shoes Off, Single Men' was a long-running talk show on SBS, but after Kim Jun-ho and Lee Sang-min remarried last year, it lost its original intent, leading to calls for their departure and eventual cancellation in December. This left Tak Jae-hoon seeking a new direction as an entertainer.

This new direction was evident at the '2025 SBS Entertainment Awards'. When Cha Tae-hyun asked Tak Jae-hoon if he was hiding his girlfriend to win another award, Tak Jae-hoon humorously replied, "I'll be honest. Yes. If I win today, I'll reveal it. If not, I'll keep it hidden." He then addressed the camera, saying, "To her watching somewhere, please wait until I win the award."

In his new appearance on SBS's 'But Seriously!', he showed a straightforward approach by flirting with Jeon So-min, who is 18 years younger, even memorizing pages and passages from her essay, impressing her.

Tak Jae-hoon is expanding his presence in variety shows this year, appearing in 'My Little Old Boy', 'But Seriously!', and 'Groom Class 2'. There is anticipation over whether the divorced Tak Jae-hoon can find real romance through his variety show appearances.
