Hong Jin-kyung Surprises Jung Hae-in with Thoughtful Gifts on 'Manito Club'

Hong Jin-kyung, 48, prepared a special gift for Jung Hae-in, who was selected as her 'Manito' on the latest episode of MBC's variety show 'Manito Club' aired on Sunday, the 22nd.

The fourth episode featured the undercover gift exchange mission of the second batch of members, including Jung Hae-in, Go Yoon-jung, Park Myung-soo, Hong Jin-kyung, and Kim Do-hoon. Hong Jin-kyung, taking on the role of the 'tall sister who gives great gifts,' crafted a calligraphy scroll with the phrase 'Helping others is helping oneself' (助他助我), inspired by Jung Hae-in's lineage as a direct descendant of the renowned scholar Jeong Yak-yong.

Knowing Jung Hae-in's fondness for whiskey, Hong Jin-kyung also prepared a handmade infused liquor using health-boosting ingredients like ginseng and yacon. However, her tall stature of 180cm made it challenging to keep her identity hidden. She humorously attempted to 'shrink' herself, but her presence was too noticeable, leading to laughter.

Kim Do-hoon, under the mission name 'My Perfect Manito,' planned a series of sweet events for Hong Jin-kyung. With hints from Hyeri and Dex, he prepared a winter essential hot pack vest and aimed to capture the 'best shot' paparazzi-style photo. He even organized a photo studio event to reminisce about Hong Jin-kyung's glorious modeling days, adding grandeur to his plans.

His dedication earned him the nickname 'Manito's Over-immersed Monster,' as he waited patiently outside Hong Jin-kyung's house in the freezing weather. He successfully delivered his gift with a 'ding-dong ditch' strategy and captured a perfect paparazzi photo, showcasing his presence.

The reactions of the Manitos to the thrilling gift exchanges were also noteworthy. Go Yoon-jung was moved by Jung Hae-in's gift, perfectly tailored to her taste, exclaiming, 'What is this person, seriously annoying,' in a moment of overwhelming emotion. Hong Jin-kyung was delighted with Kim Do-hoon's creative hot pack vest, saying, 'This is driving me crazy. His wit is so adorable,' showing her appreciation.
