Jinyoung Park Shines in New JTBC Series 'Shining' as Warm-hearted Subway Conductor
Premiering on March 6, 'Shining' is a new Friday series on JTBC that follows the journey of Yeon Tae-seo (played by Jinyoung Park) and Mo Eun-ah (played by Kim Min-joo) as they become each other's guiding light and source of trust in life.
In the series, Jinyoung Park portrays Yeon Tae-seo, a subway conductor who appears cold and reserved but harbors a tender heart. He shares a romantic storyline with his childhood friend and unrequited love, Mo Eun-ah.
Jinyoung Park was drawn to the realistic narrative of 'Shining', stating, "It's not just a pretty depiction of youth; it deals with realistic struggles that everyone can relate to, which made me want to be a part of it." Regarding his character, he added, "Yeon Tae-seo is subtly suggested in the script as someone who embodies unconditional trust, making you wish such a person existed. I was captivated by this warm character and wanted to portray him."
Finally, Jinyoung Park highlighted the key points to watch in the series. He said, "The most ordinary and everyday stories are often the most beautiful. The story of Yeon Tae-seo and Mo Eun-ah captures emotions that everyone has felt at some point in their lives. Focusing on these aspects will bring a deeper emotional impact."
'Shining' will air its first two episodes consecutively on March 6 at 8:50 PM.
