Model Han Hye-jin Opens Up About YouTube Channel Hacking Ordeal on 'My Little Old Boy'

On the recent episode of SBS's variety show 'My Little Old Boy', model Han Hye-jin shared her distressing experience of having her YouTube channel hacked and deleted.

Back on November 10th of last year, Han Hye-jin's YouTube channel, which boasted 860,000 subscribers, was deleted. All her uploaded videos were erased and replaced with cryptocurrency broadcasts, leading to the channel's removal due to platform guideline violations.

Discussing the hacking incident, hacker Park Se-jun explained, "Hacking a YouTube account can lead to illegal video releases, video replacements, and revenue theft."

Han Hye-jin expressed, "The damage was so immediate. It wasn't just about my information being potentially misused; my channel was deleted overnight. It was truly devastating."

Recalling the harrowing experience, she added, "There was nothing I could do. It was overwhelming, and recovering from the damage requires immense stress, time, and effort."

Comedian Heo Kyung-hwan remarked, "When it doesn't happen to you, you think, 'Could it really happen to me?' and become complacent," highlighting the dangers of security negligence. Park Se-jun pointed out, "If personal information is leaked, secondary and tertiary damages can occur, yet we often dismiss it as 'public information anyway.'"

Park emphasized, "Any electronic device with a chip, like computers and smartphones, can be hacked. This includes TVs, home cameras, CCTVs, and even cars." He then demonstrated phishing site mock hacking and instant laptop camera hacking.

Upon witnessing the instant hacking, Han Hye-jin exclaimed, "What? How?" in shock. She shared, "I rarely use my laptop camera, so I cover it with a sticky note." Park Se-jun praised her, saying, "Covering unused cameras is a good practice."

During the discussion of various hacking methods, Han Hye-jin expressed concern, "Wait! I often stand my phone vertically to listen to music while showering. Watching videos while washing is a hobby." Park Se-jun advised, "It's best to avoid doing that."
