Jo Se-ho Returns to Netflix's 'The Driver' Season 4 Amidst Controversy
'The Driver' is a character variety show that captures the ups and downs of life assembled without screws by the top 99% of talents. The show features Hong Jin-kyung, Kim Sook, Jo Se-ho, Joo Woo-jae, and Wooyoung as the sibling line-up.
Following Season 1 'The Driver: In Search of Lost Screws', Season 2 'In Search of Lost Handles', and Season 3 'The Driver Dismantling Show', 'The Driver Season 4: The Rival' premieres on the 22nd.
In 'The Rival', Kim Sook, Hong Jin-kyung, Jo Se-ho, Joo Woo-jae, and Wooyoung will face off against new rivals in each mission. The first rivalry is the 'OST Production Vocal Battle', where members compete in a 'screw-loose vocal war' to secure the main vocal spot for the newly produced 'The Driver' OST.
The members elevate the excitement of the 'Main Vocal Battle' with their soul-infused dress code. The theme for this special is 'God of Vocals'. Kim Sook transforms into rock band 'Steelheart', Hong Jin-kyung into 'Lady Gaga', and Jo Se-ho into 'Jo Jazz'. The 'younger brother duo' Joo Woo-jae and Wooyoung bring laughter with their soul-infused dress code.
Wooyoung attempts a 'Song Chang-sik homage' with a modified hanbok and acoustic guitar, adding to the humor. Particularly, Wooyoung exudes the aura of a musical genius by bouncing his knees and waist to the killing part of 'Ganadara Mabasasa', while Joo Woo-jae joins in with a seemingly enchanted dance, completing a synchronized performance that showcases the chemistry of the younger sibling line.
The members, fully immersed in their 'God of Vocals' personas, engage in a fierce battle of pride. Joo Woo-jae boasts, “My vocal color is unique. It's rare to find such a weak vocal,” to which his rival Hong Jin-kyung retorts, “I am Kwon Jin-ah's clone.” At this, Wooyoung interjects, “Apologize to Kwon Jin-ah,” sensing the tension in Hong Jin-kyung's expression. After a brief exchange of glances with Joo Woo-jae, Wooyoung quickly shifts the topic by exclaiming “Euheuheuheuhoho,” turning the situation into a sea of laughter.
The episode will reveal five new OST candidates for Season 4, heightening curiosity. One song, in particular, stirs the members for an unexpected reason. The catchy and addictive melody of the candidate song titled 'Flower Brain', colloquially known as 'Head Full of Flowers', excites all the members. Kim Sook, in disbelief, asks, “Does the composer really like us?” while Wooyoung stands up, declaring, “We need to meet the composer in person.”
'The Driver Season 4: The Rival' is available on Netflix every Sunday at 5 PM.
