Shin Hye-sun Shares Her Thoughts on Luxury Brands Amidst 'Lady Dua' Success
On the 20th, an interview with Shin Hye-sun was conducted at a café in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, regarding the Netflix series 'Lady Dua.' Shin Hye-sun showcased her spring styling by wearing a trench coat, matching the warmer weather.
'Lady Dua' tells the story of 'Sarah Kim' (played by Shin Hye-sun), a woman who aspires to become a luxury brand, even if it's fake, and 'Moo Kyung' (played by Lee Jun-hyuk), a man who tracks her desires. In the series, Shin Hye-sun plays the role of Sarah Kim, the mysterious Asia branch manager of the unattainable luxury brand 'Boudoir.'
In this project, Shin Hye-sun displayed a variety of glamorous and luxurious styles and candidly shared her thoughts on luxury brands. She stated, "Due to the nature of my job, I do encounter luxury brands quite often. In my 20s, I had no interest at all. I knew nothing about them. Reflecting on it now, I think it was because I couldn't afford them in my 20s."
She continued, "Now that I'm approaching my 40s, I don't think luxury brands are bad. There can be uniqueness and craftsmanship in a brand. It's nice to have them, but I don't chase after them excessively."
Meanwhile, 'Lady Dua' has climbed to the 3rd spot in the global TOP 10 non-English shows since its release on the 13th. It has also claimed the number 1 spot in countries including South Korea, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia, and has made it to the TOP 10 list in a total of 38 countries, including Bahrain, Peru, Colombia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, and Kenya.
