Coupang Play Unveils Exciting 2026 Content Lineup: From Original Series to Global Sports

Coupang Play has announced its content lineup for 2026.

This year, Coupang Play is set to offer a wide range of content, from the return of legendary series to massive original productions, exclusives, and sports.

Kicking off the Coupang Play series in April is 'Absolute Value of Romance,' starring Kim Hyang-gi and Cha Hak-yeon. This series is expected to add a new dimension to the high-teen genre with its delightful blend of reality and imagination. Another highly anticipated release is the black comedy 'Infidelity Isn't the Issue Right Now,' set to premiere later this year. The series stars Kim Hye-soo, Jo Yeo-jeong, Kim Ji-hoon, and Kim Jae-chul, with Hwang Dong-hyuk, known for the global phenomenon 'Squid Game,' serving as the showrunner.

Beloved series are also making a comeback. 'Family Plan,' Coupang Play's highest-grossing series, will expand its universe with a second season set to release in the latter half of the year. 'Boyhood,' which captivated audiences with its Chungcheong dialect, is set to return with a new season, moving its setting from an agricultural school to a fisheries high school.

The original variety shows are set to scale new heights with a stellar cast of world-class stars, top actors, and veteran entertainers. The massive soccer survival show 'Next Legend,' featuring soccer legends Gareth Bale and Lee Young-pyo, continues to captivate audiences with its narrative of young dreams of 'going abroad.' In March, 55-year-old Kang Ho-dong transforms into 'Hocrates,' a loud yet gentle-hearted INFP bookstore owner, in 'Kang Ho-dong's Bookstore,' engaging in heartfelt conversations with customers. Kim Hee-ae and Cha Seung-won join the rural dessert café 'Bonjour Bakery,' showcasing unpredictable chemistry this May.

Laughter is guaranteed with upcoming comedy hits. 'Sister Chicken,' operated by the trio Lee Soo-ji, Jung Yi-rang, and Kim Min, returns with even more boisterous and delightful banter than its predecessor 'Sister Café.' The hyper-realistic office comedy 'Office Workers' returns for its third season, targeting the humor and relatability of office life with upgraded skits and ad-libs. Additionally, the globally popular reality investment show 'Shark Tank Korea' is set to premiere domestically for the first time this year. The documentary 'Road to North America' (working title), chronicling the South Korean national soccer team's journey to their first-ever World Cup quarterfinals, will be released in June.

Coupang Play continues to expand its premium exclusive offerings, featuring new releases from HBO and HBO Max, as well as the latest domestic hits, with rich storytelling. Currently airing weekly, the mystery thriller 'Honor: Their Court,' starring Lee Na-young, Jung Eun-chae, and Lee Chung-ah, is setting a new benchmark in the K-courtroom genre.

Global blockbusters are also on the horizon. The prequel to 'Game of Thrones,' 'A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms,' set 100 years before the original series, and the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning medical drama 'The Pit' Season 2 are exclusively available on Coupang Play. Zendaya's 'Euphoria' Season 3 is set to premiere in April, while the epic 'House of the Dragon' Season 3, depicting the Targaryen civil war, will arrive this summer.

This year, Coupang Play Sports is expanding its broadcast lineup and viewing experience. It offers a unique viewing experience of top-tier leagues worldwide, including the Premier League (PL), NBA, LAFC (MLS), and F1, in the highest quality.

The 'Coupang Play K-League Super Cup 2026' returns after 20 years, alongside full coverage of LAFC matches featuring Son Heung-min, from the regular season to the All-Star game and finals, as part of the NBA full package broadcast. F1 introduces 4K broadcasts for the first time domestically this season, delivering the speed and texture of the circuit more vividly. The Premier League continues to enhance the viewing experience with 4K live broadcasts of major matches, commentary selection, and multi-view options. All of Coupang Play's sports content, boasting the strongest lineup in the country, is available unlimited through the 'Sports Pass.'
