Veteran actor Im Hyun-sik has recently faced the loss of his beloved dog, following the passing of his close friends, the late Kim Soo-mi and Lee Soon-jae.

On the latest episode of MBN's current affairs program 'Special World,' aired on the 19th, Im Hyun-sik shared updates on his life.

The episode began with Im Hyun-sik clearing the snow that had accumulated overnight, starting his day with this physical activity. When he remarked, "I consider this exercise," the production team noted, "You seem out of breath." Im Hyun-sik acknowledged, "The time it takes for me to get out of breath is getting shorter as I age."

The show also gave viewers a glimpse into his traditional Korean house, adorned with a piano and antique furniture. Im Hyun-sik shared, "I built this house 25 years ago. It's more magnificent and well-constructed than I imagined." His dedication and affection are evident throughout the home, which he designed as a haven for his extended family.

While having breakfast, he reminisced about his late dog, saying, "I used to have a dog named Mary, who recently passed away. We had a good relationship. She would look at me pitifully when I ate, and now, without even the old dog, it's lonelier."

Born in 1945, Im Hyun-sik debuted as part of MBC's first open recruitment for actors in 1969 and has been active in the industry for over 50 years. He gained widespread recognition for his role as Soon-dol's father in the drama 'Three Families Under One Roof' and continued to charm audiences with supporting roles in popular series like 'Hur Jun' and 'Dae Jang Geum.'
