Korean Actress Uhm Ji-won Reveals Her Cousin is a Michelin-Starred Chef in New York

Korean actress Uhm Ji-won recently revealed that her cousin is a Michelin-starred chef based in New York City.

On the October 18th episode of MBC's variety show 'Radio Star', Uhm Ji-won appeared alongside actors Choi Dae-chul, singer Kim Jo-han, and honorary Briton Baek Jin-kyung in a special titled '2026 Uhm Ji-cheok's End of the Line'.

During the show, Uhm Ji-won shared, "My cousin is working as a chef in New York. He is the owner-chef of Atomix, which has been awarded two Michelin stars."

The broadcast also featured a photo of Uhm Ji-won's cousin, Chef Park Jung-hyun, who was a finalist on Netflix's 'Chef's Table: BBQ'. He is seen posing with Chef Lee Ha-sung, known as a culinary prodigy.

Uhm Ji-won recounted her visit to her cousin's restaurant, saying, "It was my first time there. They serve Korean fusion cuisine, and each dish is presented on plates crafted by Korean artists, introducing Korean culture alongside the food."

She added, "Seeing him work so impressively in New York, where he knew no one, made me emotional. I couldn't stop crying, even though I kept telling myself to stay cool and not get too sentimental while enjoying the meal."
