Secrets of 'Knowing Bros' Revealed: Penalty Clause Unveiled

The penalty clause for breaking the secret rules of the popular variety show 'Knowing Bros' has been revealed.

On the October 4th episode of JTBC's 'Knowing Bros,' chefs from 'Black and White Chef 2' including Cheon Sang-hyun, Song Hoon, 'Chinese Cuisine Witch' Lee Moon-jung, and 'Liquor Brewer' Yoon Na-ra appeared.

During the episode, the chefs shared behind-the-scenes stories from 'Black and White Chef 2.' Lee Soo-geun expressed curiosity, asking, "Was your appearance on 'Black and White 2' through casting or did you apply?"

Cheon Sang-hyun revealed, "I received a call for Season 1. I promised to appear after signing the contract, but due to cancer treatment, I couldn't participate. After recovering my health, I appeared in Season 2. I'm in good condition now," showing his healthy state.

Yoon Na-ra, known as 'Black Spoon,' confessed, "I applied. I'm famous for traditional liquor, but they didn't know me. I didn't think they would call no matter how long I waited." Lee Moon-jung also shared, "I've been in this field for a long time, but I didn't get a call," explaining her decision to apply.

Song Hoon, who has mostly been a judge, said, "I received a casting call for Season 1, but I was in the U.S. I never imagined Season 1 would be successful," adding, "I was secretly hoping for Season 2, and they contacted me. During the meeting, they asked if I didn't want to promote pork, making it impossible to refuse. Two weeks later, I was contacted to participate as a challenger."

Song Hoon is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America (CIA), one of the world's top three culinary schools. Many CIA alumni, including Lee Ha-sung, Son Jong-won, Shim Sung-chul, and Ahn Ji-ho, appeared in 'Black and White 2.'

When asked if the participants knew each other, Cheon Sang-hyun and Song Hoon explained, "The participants have different arrival times, so they don't meet. The waiting rooms for Black and White are in separate buildings." They added, "The White team is arranged in the waiting room by age."

Song Hoon, who didn't discuss his appearance with other chefs beforehand, said, "I was the last to enter the waiting room, and the 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator' team was already there," expressing his surprise. He revealed, "The contract states not to disclose participation. If violated, there's a penalty of 10 million won."

When asked about appearing in 'Season 3,' Lee Moon-jung expressed regret, saying, "I couldn't showcase my cooking." Song Hoon also expressed frustration, "I was eliminated in the first round." Cheon Sang-hyun showed a positive attitude, saying, "I don't plan to participate individually, but since Season 3 is a team competition, we need to discuss it."
